Dr. Susan Yanoff graduated from Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 1977 and from the Veterinary College in 1980. After three years in private practice, she joined the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. While in the Army she completed a residency in small animal surgery at Texas A&M University in 1991. She gained extensive experience with sports medicine working with the military working dogs. Dr. Yanoff retired from the Army, at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, in 2004 after almost 21 years of service. In 2005 she joined the staff at Colonial Veterinary Hospital in Ithaca, New York, as their second surgeon. She retired from Colonial at the end of 2009 to spend more time pursuing her main interest, canine sports medicine.
