dc.description.abstract | In an effort to promote educational excellence, the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (TAMU) tasked a team of faculty and educational experts to develop a program for assessing the curriculum and supporting faculty in teaching. The TAMU Initiative for Educational Excellence was established to provide data-driven program evaluation, support for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and opportunities for faculty development. Results from the initiative include: development of academic partnerships between faculty and educational experts to support course design and innovative teaching as well as an interdepartmental peer review of teaching program to encourage educational mentorship and development. This second edition includes additions based on lessons learned in the first year of the program. | en |
