dc.description.abstractThis paper presents validation of a novel method for assessment of the centrifugal pump cavitation erosion with two configurations of a model feed centrifugal pump: with thru shaft, and Cantilever impeller. The method combines 3D unsteady flow computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and numerical analysis of cavitation bubble behavior. The method considers evolution of the bubble in nonuniform 3D flow from initial onset conditions until the disruption moment with determination of the erosion jet power impact.en
