Rotor Design And Vibration Response
Abstract
A study is presented of a simple shaft configuration. This study shows the relative effect of variables of weight distribution and support stiffness on the response of the rotor. In particular, these variables are related to alternating load at the bearings due to an unbalance in the rotor. Comparisons are drawn between the study results and construction details in order that qualitative judgments may be made.
