dc.description.abstractA total online condition monitoring system has been in operation on the world's largest offshore facility located off the coast of Norway. The Ekofisk platforms are operated by the Phillips Petroleum Company Norway and supplies crude and natural gas. The system, which monitors performance, as well as mechanical parameters, has been operating for the past two years on four trains which are used for gas transmission from the platform to Emden, Germany. The system and the operating experience are described.en
