dc.description.abstractIn the 1943 Student yearbook, "The Longhorn" there is a student named Earl Patrick Stallings. He is listed as a student of veterinary medicine and a member of the Jr. AVMA. He is named for his father, Earle Parrish Stallings who had an interest in breeding horses. Dr. Earl Patrick Stallings founded the Westheimer Animal Clinic, Houston in 1947. Earl was a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Harris County Veterinary Association, Association of Veterinarians and Zootechnicians of the West, Guadalajara, Mexico and Trustee of the Texas Veterinary Medical Foundation. Known for his love of Texas A&M University, Earl was a member of the College of Veterinary Medicine Development Council, Founder of The Earl P. Stallings Endowed Fund in Veterinary Medicine, Founding Member President's Endowed Scholars and Endowed Diamond Member of The Association of Former Students.
