dc.description.abstract(Black and White) This is a "Field Service Postcard" sent from the front. The card is a pre-printed form that only allows senders to cross out irrelevant information and leave any pertinent messages showing. Any additional writing, other than the signature and date would result in destruction of the card. These messages were censored, and common. The postcard provides form specification at the bottom of the front, and the top left hand corner of the back. This card reads "I am quite well. I received your letter. Letter follows at first opportunity." The card is from a J. Macartney and was filled out on 11/10/16. On the back, Macartney addressed the card to Miss Nellie M. Intyne, I George Drive, So. Goavn, Glasgow. The postmark reads Field Post Office A, October 13, 1916. A second stamp reads "Passed Field Censor 3947" with red stamp also depicting a crown.en
