Abstract
A major problem encountered when trying to speed up electrification of French industry has been 'hot to finance, at end-user's level, investments related to such a change of technology'.
Government incentives, the aims of which are to help saving energy and reducing oil imports, are a partial solution; something more has been done by E.D.F. with the help of bankers, consultants, engineers, and manufacturers.
But it will take a lot of months before being sure it fulfills the purpose in view.
