This paper describes how continuous monitoring and follow-up has improved the savings from energy conservation retrofits in the LoanSTAR program. It describes the importance of the feedback from the facility engineer or the building operator and how it can improve retrofit performance. Finally, the importance of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) is outlined. Results are presented which provide the status and cost savings for selected LoanSTAR buildings. Three O&M opportunities identified by the monitored data and follow-up are discussed in detail, including the process of outlining the problems, investigating the problems and the final outcomes.en
