Abstract
Energy and pollution of the environment (and its
control) relate to each other in different ways and at
different levels. The relationship between energy flows and
pollution generation or control can be formalized at any
particular point in the industrial process. Four discreet
levels of interaction between energy and pollution can be
identified; these relationships are discussed below.
