dc.description.abstract | In reviewing hundreds of process improvement projects, the author has found that virtually all fall into at least one of six categories. By looking for places where one or more of these characteristics exist in existing (or proposed) processes, one can identify opportunities for projects that reduce energy consumption, decrease waste, improve yields, and in other ways cut costs. The material in this paper has been excerpted from a two-day workshop taught by the author.
