A Study of the Pre-Programmed Thermostat Timer as a Load Control Device
Abstract
Monitoring equipment was installed on a
residential air conditioning unit to test the
effects of a pre-programmed thermostat timer.
This was done to determine its effect on the
utility's load shape for the purpose of avoiding
peak generation capacity. This report
measured the temperature and energy changes
as a result of the test.
