dc.description.abstract | The Egg and Avocado Show creative thesis is a cartoon short film following the protagonists, Egg and Avocado, through eight animated episodes of their musical talk show. As each episode delves into its own ideas and commentary on internet culture, the series also features an overarching story of the two characters’ “online journey” as they gain fame and traction, and by some stroke of luck, get picked up by a network. The project will explore themes of the disingenuousness of maintaining an online presence, chasing fame rather than staying true to one’s own creative voice, and the difference between professional entertainment and working as an independent creator. | en |
