Synergistic Programs and Activities Benefitting Process Safety at the Texas Engineering Experiment Station
Abstract
The Texas Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) is a state agency within The Texas A&M University System. It is responsible for promotion of and propagation of results of Engineering and related research done directly and by its 14 member institutions. It also is the vehicle for administration of this research, as well as over a dozen industrial consortia. One of its centers, the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center, is very prominent in the area of chemical plant safety. This provides the opportunity to disseminate and spread the requirement of safety throughout many industry groups. The broad set of contacts that TEES has throughout the industry also adds to this potential.
