dc.description.abstract | Does the presence of an Asian candidate increase turnout within Asian Americans? I conduct an analysis of the 2018 Congressional election using survey and observational data to study the effects of race on voter turnout. My results show that Asian American voter turnout increases with the presence of an Asian American candidate, and the effect is stronger when the candidate is of the opposite party. | en |
