Repair Techniques For Rotor And Case Damage
Abstract
To properly install, profitably operate, and economically maintain high speed rotating machinery requires considerable skill, judgment, and experience. Excellent engineering references covering the mechanical design and the basic principles as applied to this class of machinery can be found in many textbooks. Very few textbooks are available, however, which cover the engineering aspects as applied to installation, operating, and maintenance of this class of machinery. This collection of engineering notes, recording the combined skill and thinking of many people, has been assembled for the general guidance and training of men engaged in this class of work. It is hoped that this may be of interest and use to properly develop men who are called upon to install, operate, and maintain this class of machinery.
