It is situated roughly 65 miles north of Denver and 45 miles south of Cheyenne, WY along the western edge of the Great Plains and the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Fort Collins is the fourth most populous city in Colorado after Denver, Colorado Springs, and Aurora. It is the most populous city in Larimer County and the county seat.	en
