dc.description.abstract(Black and White) This postcard contains a poem about and picture of some Royal Engineers of the British Armed Forces, in a few boats near a small dock. The Royal Enginners' seal is located in the top left and is embossed in gold. The stamp on the back is British, green, and cost half-penny. The card is postmarked Rochester on October 10, 1916. The card was sent to Ted, stationed in Kent, making plans for a weekend trip home.en
