Description(Color)This postcard depicts a soldier with a broken arm smoking a pipe. It it has a crookedly affixed British, green, halfpenny stamp, and reads Buxton, December 21, 1917. The card was sent to Miss Eileen Carter from Connie in response to a previous postcard and to convey Christmas greetings.
This collection previously belonged to Dominic Hibberd, an English biographer most noted for the biographies of Wilfred Owen and Harold Monro, World War I poets. He collected these postcards for research purposes.
