Abstract

This article discusses the development of a general integer programming model to be used in strategic, area-wide contingency planning of oil spill cleanup operations. Galveston Bay was used as the test modeling site. Included in this paper is a description of potential applications of the model by responsible parties, contractors, and governmental organizations.
