Abstract
Although Galveston Bay is the most productive bay in Texas, it is challenged every day by humans. More than three million people, the largest oil and petrochemical complex, and the third largest shipping port impact the bay. Of all Gulf of Mexico estuaries, Galveston Bay has the highest amount of toxics released per year. Our ways must be changed in order to preserve this invaluable natural resource.
