Evolution of double-dwell serial search acquisition with automatic threshold control
Abstract
An evolutionary double dwell serial search acquisition ics. with automatic threshold control for a code division multiple access (CDMA) direct sequence spread spectrum system is presented and analyzed. The acquisition approach adaptively estimates optimal threshold by exploiting the statistics of the signal and noise, uses the threshold to make a decision to stop or to continue the search process by employing pre-verification logic, and obtains fast acquisition. In this thesis, the mean of acquisition time of the algorithm is developed and the system parameter design methodology through performance analysis is also illustrated. A considerable advantage of this acquisition approach compared to the conventional one has been demonstrated.
