Abstract
Cone maturity is as follows- cone A, taphonomically degraded (picture 1); cone B, taphonomically degraded (picture 2); cone C, immature (picture 3, left); cone D, immature (picture 3, right). Plate 55B is a successive peel taken from the same coal ball as other plates labeled 55.
Description
These images were used in the research for a master's thesis from the Texas A&M University Dept. of Geology and Geophysics (Date of submission: May 2020).
Images were taken from slides on loan from the Harvard Paleobotanical Herbarium.
Cones A and B are taphonomically degraded.
Cones C and D are Immature.
Mounted peels were made by William C. Darrah.
