Abstract

In an effort to prepare students for positions of authority in their future careers, leadership educators are conducting a constant search for new, innovative teaching methods that encourage critical thinking and reflection. The use of dramaturgy in undergraduate coursework is one potential strategy that remains relatively unexplored. This article will outline the use of a dramaturgical assignment, called “Leaders are Readers,”, and summarize the learning activity’s potential as a tool for leadership education and development.
