Abstract
A new derivative of the comics medium may be created by incorporating computer and internet technology into the design process. Traditionally a printed medium, comics is now finding its way onto the internet; more comic creators are presenting their works on-line, taking advantage of the internet's range and cost-effectiveness over conventional printing and distribution expenses. Yet the majority of these works are designed with conventional practices outside of the computer and use the internet only as a presentation device. Modern internet technology, however, supports far greater dynamic presentation capabilities than conventional printing procedures. This thesis is an exploration into a new creative paradigm for a dynamic derivative of the comics medium developed exclusively for use on the internet.
