The charged particle spectra from the 49 MeV deuteron on beryllium neutron beam onto Shonka A-150 tissue-equivalent plastic has been measured as a function of off-axis angle from 10?? to 90??. Particle detection was accomplished by silicon detectors in a detector telescope array. A ?öE-E algorithm was used to identify particles. Average particle energies for protons, deuterons, and alpha particles have been calculated and compared with calculations made by Wells. Certain discrepancies between Wells' slowing down spectra and the detected charged particle spectra have been observed.en
