dc.description.abstractPurpose The purpose of this research was to identify the areas that have been fruitful, in raising the nutritional status of the ENP participants. The following objectives were formulated to accomplish this purpose. 1. To develop an instrument for measuring the effectiveness of the ENP working home visit. 2. To determine the homemakers' knowledge and application of (a) nutrition principles, (b) meal planning principles, (c) food buying principles, (d) food preparation principles. 3. To determine the homemakers' attitudes toward the ENP. Procedure The sample consisted of 250 ENP participants in Waco, Texas. Data were obtained by the use of a questionnaire developed through the review of teaching units of the Extension Service Personnel and the program aides in the same city. The questionnaire was designed to cover nutrition principles, meal planning and food buying principles, food preparation practices, and attitudes toward the ENP.
