dc.description.abstract | This research was designed to measure the community education perceptions of selected public school educational leaders in Louisiana. The subjects selected for the study consisted of all of the public school superintendents, school board presidents, adult education supervisors, and a 5 percent stratified random sample of principals in Louisiana. A twenty-eight item survey instrument was developed to determine the community education perceptions of the selected Louisiana educational leaders. Eighty-six percent of the participants in the study responded to the survey instrument. The community education perceptions of the selected Louisiana educational leaders were examined in each of the following categories: (1) utilization of school facilities, (2) use of community resources, (3) participation and involvement, (4) education as a continuous process, (5) cooperation and coordination, and (6) social responsibility. | en |
