Abstract
The rapid escalation in energy prices during recent years has resulted in a resurgence of interest in the energy-saving aspects of oxygen enrichment techniques available to the process and chemical industries. Important side benefits which may significantly enhance the attractiveness of the process are also discussed. Equipment requirements for a typical oxygen enrichment application are briefly reviewed with reference to the procedures required to ensure operational safety.
