dc.description.abstract | The Energy Division of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the state-supported engineering universities of North Carolina, conducts numerous projects to help business and industry save energy and reduce pollution. These projects include workshops on over 40 topics, and on-site surveys in nine areas of specialization. In addition, government/university collaborations with industry have been formed to demonstrate new or under-utilized technology for energy conservation in a real world setting. The synergy of these collaborations provides unique benefits to all of the participating partners, benefits that would not accrue should these entities conduct the projects singly. | en |
