CST07 - Blade failure analysis for steam turbines used for driving centrifugal compressors
Abstract
Blade failure was caused by a huge alkaline element of Na flowing into the steam turbine from upstream due to improper water treatment. In this presentation, we will inform the reason why Na precipitated in dry steam condition and shows the detail analysis results and introduces method of resolving this issue in turbine blade.
