Burleson County is located in East-Central Texas, as seen in Figure 01. It encompasses a
total area of 677 square miles and contains two major cities: Caldwell and Somerville.
Caldwell is the largest city and the county seat. State highways 21 and 36 intersect roughly
at the center of the county in Caldwell, as illustrated in Figure 02. Neighboring counties,
shown in Figure 03, include Milam, Robertson, Brazos, Washington, and Lee.
