A Health Clinic in Belize: Studies in Culture, Health, Design, and Construction
Abstract
This research paper, conducted through the Texas A&M University Honors Undergraduate fellows program, will be presented as a journal of information considered in the design of a government health clinic for the town of San Pedro, on the island of Ambergris Caye off the northern coast of Belize. The material may seem disjointed, encompassing such fields as geography, economics, medicine, and urban planning. The unifying factor will be that they are all relevant to the culmination of an environmentally, culturally, and aesthetically proper design for the town's new clinic.
