dc.description.abstractAn archaeological survey of a 22.9 acre tract and 6300 feet of water line in southern Starr County, Texas was conducted by Brazos Valley Research Associates (BVRA) in April of 2009 for the Rio Water Supply Corporation (WSC) under Antiquities Permit 5270. In all, 23.14 acres were examined. No previously recorded archaeological sites are present within any portion of the project area, and no previously unrecorded archaeological sites were found. Much of the project area had been disturbed through road construction and agricultural practices. No artifacts were collected. The western portion of the 22.9 acre tract is bounded by the east bank of the Rio Grande River.en
