Abstract

hree courses were devoted to the development of the comprehensive plan--a compilation of future land use, transportation and infrastructure, parks and recreation, housing, community facilities, and environmental resources. State of the City Report- One course was devoted to the examining the current conditions of Somerville to act as a fact basis for the comprehensive plan. Conceptual Designs- Undergraduate students worked on designs for a municipal government complex consisting of three components: Municipal Administration Building, Police department, Fire Station. Two of the students worked on designs for a contemporary replication of the Harvey House in town --a railroad restaurant--to serve as a community center. Landscape Architecture Conceptual Designs- Eight teams focused on landscape conceptual designs for Welch Park and eight teams on the Thronberry Park
