Description(Color) This poem, "The Slayers" is bordered in a gold frame with dots, surrounded by naval images. The card is a souvenir of the U'Boat's Attack on Scarborough, which occured on September 4, 1917. This card is uninscribed and unposted.
This collection previously belonged to Dominic Hibberd, an English biographer most noted for the biographies of Wilfred Owen and Harold Monro, World War I poets. He collected these postcards for research purposes.
