Description(Color) The image on this postcard seems to depict the final stages of the falling zepellin, having been brought down over England on September 3,  at 2:26 A.M. The red explosion appears as if behind a tree. The back reads "Passed for Publication by the Press Bureau on September 16, 1916." The card is uninscribed and unposted.
This collection previously belonged to Dominic Hibberd, an English biographer most noted for the biographies of Wilfred Owen and Harold Monro, World War I poets. He collected these postcards for research purposes.
