Description(Color) This view of the first zeppelin to be brought down over England looks like a fiery red explosion above houses. This view is dated and timed as September 3, 1916 at 2:25 A.M. The back reads "Passed for Publication by the Press Bureau on September 16, 1916." The card is uninscribed and unposted.
This collection previously belonged to Dominic Hibberd, an English biographer most noted for the biographies of Wilfred Owen and Harold Monro, World War I poets. He collected these postcards for research purposes.
