Abstract
The common denominator in every plant manager's conservation effort is people. With this in mind, Texaco's Port Arthur refinery established a program to expand plant employees awareness of the need for conservation, and to increase their ability to save energy on the job. Emphasis is on development of positive attitudes, effective training, sound operating practices and attention to proper maintenance and inspection.
