Abstract
In the past decade, many external forces have shocked both utilities and their large industrial customers into seeking more effective ways of coping and surviving. One such way is to develop mutually beneficial partnerships optimizing the use of each partners strengths. This new direction is still in its infancy. Presented here are some specific principles aimed at accelerating and directing this process.
