Since first discovered in Pasadena in 2002 by pest control operator Tom Rasberry, Rasberry crazy ants have spread to 11 southeast Texas counties. Here are facts about these ants, with information for the public about what to do to avoid spreading an infestation. Readers are asked to contact the Texas AgriLife Extension Service for more information and to have suspicious ants identified.
