Uncle Bill's Scrap-Book: The First Hitch
Abstract
(Black and white) This postcard appears to be a drawing of a "scrapbook page," depicting "The First Hitch," a cartoon battle of political nature. It has a crookedly affixed British, green, halfpenny stamp. The postmark is cut off but reads "Forest Gatee" and was marked in August 1916, at 11:15 A.M. The sender does not provide their name, but signs "Your Little Monkey" in childlike handwriting. The card is addressed to Miss B. Latham, care of Mrs. Tomkins.
